My next door neighbor, Amanda, is moving. Because her husband is a chauvanistic ass wipe, she’s been relying on the help of her brother, and Ben and Jarret to help get her stuff to the new apartment.

Tonight I asked that the boys be home by 8pm because Jarret needs some wind down time before he goes to bed. At 8pm there was no sight of the boys. At 8:05, my other neighbor knocks on the door to tell me Amanda has called HIM and has asked HIM to tell ME that her brother fell down some steps and she was on her way over with the boys before taking her brother to the hospital.

Now, this person has my number, both the home and the cell. So does Ben, who has a cell phone of his own. Neither of them called ME. Furthermore it’s only 10 minutes from her new apartment to here. Half an hour later they still hadn’t returned. I’m about to call Ben when the phone finally rings. It’s Amanda who tells Glenn she’s going to give us the whole story when she gets back with the boys.

Another half an hour later she finally returns. She drops off Jarret and she and Ben take right off again, to get pizza. Jarret tells me about how our neighbor’s brother, Pat, had had a seizure (due to not taking his meds), not fallen down stairs.

When she gets back with the pizza, she sneaks in with Ben. If Glenn didn’t happen to hear Ben in the hallway, we wouldn’t have known they were back. She confesses to Glenn that Pat did have a seizure and that she decided to drive him back home before bringing the boys back. Pat lives in Chelsea, which is 40 minutes away. Pat, while having a seizure, is extremely violent. Yet Amanda thought it was okay to pile all of them into her car and drive 30 minutes in the other direction, and planned on not saying a word about it to me!!!!!!!!!!!

Needless to say the boys will not be helping her again, anytime soon. I’m still debating on whether to ground Ben for not calling. So help me, if I find out Amanda told him not to, she’s gonna die!
