Still cleaning out the extra comments. I hope I’m not breaking the threads. 🙂 I’ve got three copies of each comment so I’ve been systematically removing the last two but WordPress has a habit of switching the order of things around. If I’m lucky things will remain intact. I’m now down to 98 pages of comments, from 116.

While skimming through the comments I came across this post. I’m now beginning to wonder if Hollywood has been reading my blog. 🙂 It’s just too weird.

Oh, and since I had to endure the pain and suffering of deleting two copies of this photo, I’m going to post it here, again. Just because I can.

I finished importing all of my LiveJournal posts into my WordPress blog. Hey, if Blog Metrics says I’ve been blogging for 8+ years I might as well have something to show for it, right?

Anyway, in addition to forgetting to turn off the reposting plugins the first time around, I also forgot to have WP password protect all of my “Friends Only” posts. So I’ve been going through, deleting the comment-less reposts, password protecting the ones with comments made by those who are concerned about being read publically, and deleting all of the duplicate comments. Judging by the fact that I have 921 posts and 2,315 comments I think I still have a number of duplicate comments to remove. Funny how the importer can see duplicate posts but not duplicate comments. *shrugs* At least I got the comments, though, something I couldn’t do a year ago when I tried to import LJ to Insane Journal.

In other news, I finally found an old friend from high school on Facebook. Or, more accurately, he found me. I’ve been trying to track him down for quite some time, with no luck, so I’m really excited to see him again. Hopefully we can continue to make mischief together, online. *weg*

I want to deeply and profusely apologize to everyone on Facebook, AIM and Twitter for my unintentional spamfest. I wanted to import my LiveJournal entries into my WordPress blog and forgot to turn off the reposting plugins before doing so. I think I deleted all those posts but I’m going to have to do it again as I also accidentally deleted some imported posts on WP that had comments that I wanted to keep. Since LJ is pissed at my last attempt I have to wait about an hour, but I WILL remember to turn off the plugins this time.

For those of you thinking “WTF?”, a while back I installed a plugin to my site which would forward all my posts to ping.fm which would, in turn, crosspost them to all the networks I belong to. Well a number of my posts haven’t been crossposted and I’m not sure why. I tried ruling out the plugin earlier but its replacement didn’t work at all.

I have since figured out why the second plugin wasn’t working properly (hence the testing). It turns out it was the URL shortening part of it. As soon as I disabled it things started working. So now I need to wait and see if any more posts get dropped. If that happens then I know it’s ping.fm.

If it doesn’t work this time I’m done.
