Yesterday the washing machine in our apartment building broke down.
Again.
Of course I didn’t know this until after I had put my money in.
Again.
So, being quite pissed off because I’ve lost several dollars in that stupid machine, never to be seen again, I take the load for the day, throw it in my bathtub and run some warm water into it. While it’s filling I change into a pair of shorts. When the water level looked about right I poured in some Tide (with Bleach Alternative!) and proceeded to hand, er, foot wash my laundry.
My older son walks by about ten minutes into the wash cycle and asks if any of his clothes are in there because “Ew! That’s gross!” I told him, “My feet are clean… Well they are now!” *grin*
It took me about an hour to get the load washed, rinsed and hung up outside but I figure I got in an hour of aerobic and near-aerobic activity at the same time, so it’s all good!
Good enough to repeat today ’cause the machine is still down.
