February Vacation

I had to force feed the Pre-Teen his Ritalin this morning. Well, maybe “force feed” is a bit harsh, but there was much bitching and whining. Who could blame the kid, though. After all we did have an agreement that he didn’t have to take his meds on weekends and during school vacations. This vacation, however, I had to break our deal. He’s been literally bouncing off the walls. Seriously. Last night he “puma-ed” into my room, jumped onto the bed, landed feet first against the wall, and pushed off so hard he almost over-shot the bed. It was either drug him or kill him, and I think a few more eyebrows would be raised if the latter occurred. 🙂 In his defense I’m sure a lot of it has to do with him reacting to Glenn also taking the week off from work (yes, Mommy has to deal with all three children being home this week), but still…

On a positive note, it appears the Teenager can be domesticated. He has managed to salvage enough change from his latest cat-sitting to wash a load of his own clothes. I believe this may be due to the presence of a young female, as I’ve also noticed an increase in such activities as bathing and preening.

If all stays calm and quiet today I may make an attempt to load last year’s Winterguard/Winterpercussion Championships at EHS onto my computer and make a torrent so that my fans may get to see what I do for fun.

The other thing I do for fun.
