Okay.
I recently figured out how to install and run WordPress on my own computer. My ultimate goal is to install and run it on a thumb drive but my current 2-1/2 year old Sandisk 2GB Cruzer is too slow. Every time I try to install WP instead of getting the “Success!” page I get just a page with the WP logo on it. WordPress insists that an installation has occurred but it won’t let me in as there is no user registered.
I’ve heard that the thumb drives available now are faster but I’m unsure as to whether they are fast enough to keep WP from timing out. I could get an enclosure for one of the two remaining hard drives I salvaged from my old computers and use that, but a thumb drive would be so much easier to keep with me.
*sigh*
