Since the main reason I do the torrenting thing is to acquire obscure music and videos from long ago that is no longer available commerically (at least not in the USA), that’s pretty much what you’ll find for download on my page. Currently I have the following files available:

An audio file of the 27th Lancers Alumni DCI finals exhibition (which will be there at least until DCI figures out how to contact me and send me a court order to remove the damn thing *grins*). The 27th Lancers Alumni is the previous incarnation of the Light Brigade (which I belong to), before Bonfiglio decided to take his toys and go home. Warning!!!! Contains the song Danny Boy!

I’ve currently got those torrents set to seed 24-7 ’till they reach 300%. Then I’ll check in nightly when I set up uTorrent to see if I need to continue to seed them. I don’t know about you but I really had dead torrents.

I hope to add more files over the week. I’m pretty certain I have the complete seasons of Duckman as well as Max Headroom, but it has been like 10-15 years since the former last aired and 20 for the latter….

Okay, since my online store had pretty much beem kaput, I had been planning on closing up shop. In fact for about a month the site was essentialy down because I hadn’t paid my annual fee on time to keep the store’s domain active. Yet, in the past week since the store’s been back up (in “view only mode”), I’ve received about a half dozen notifications for subscription sign ups. Add to that the fact that last night I had a total stranger come up to me at Ottoson Middle School’s Open House and ask me if I was the Mistress of the Bishi Harem, I’m now starting to wonder if closing the store is such a good idea. I’m toying with the idea of keeping the site up as a display, but going back to eBay to do most of my sales. I may be giving up more money, but then I’ll be selling more, too.

In other news, never buy a Ford Taurus. You may recall an earlier post where I mentioned that after the fuel pump and filter had been replaced, the car suddenly stopped knocking. Well, it started back up again a few weeks ago, followed by the engine light coming on a week and a half ago. As the engine light came on a week prior to the fuel pump dying I thought it would be a good idea to get the car hooked up to a computer and figure out what the hell is wrong. According to the computer the car is running lean. File that under “I could’ve figured that out”. In fact I did. 🙂 Our only problem is that the computer can’t tell us where the extra air is getting in. Our mechanic spent a good hour going over every section of the engine area, looking for a leak. Apparently it is well hidden. Even if the part that needs to be replaced is cheap, it’s going to take forever to find it, meaning major labor fees. 😛 This fucking car better live long enough to see 200,000 miles!

Last year, about this time, I discovered Glenn had emptying our “emergency” fund, spending it on booze. If it hadn’t been for the generosity of the corps. (paying for the hotel) I wouldn’t have been able to participate in last year’s Thanksgiving Homecoming show in Plymouth. Still, we ended up having to use rent and bill money to get the family gifts for the holidays, and pay for car repairs. We are still behind because of this.

Today I was hanging up the laundry to dry and discovered two check stubs from the credit union had fallen out of Glenn’s work jeans. According to them, instead of the couple of hundred dollars that should be there, we have a whopping $16.

The worst part about it is that Glenn doesn’t seem to be worried at all about this. But then, why should he? He doesn’t think he did anything wrong.

Now that I’ve got the hang of it, I’m in love with ?Torrent. I love how it automatically switches between torrents when there isn’t any activity. I was having a problem with my computer going into hibernation when ?Torrent was running, but then I figured out that the program halted while it waited for me to acknowledge the firewall prompt. As I was asleep, the computer naturally assumed nothing was going on and shut down. Now I have to figure out whether I should be letting ?Torrent send email. The newest version of BitComet made the same request when I ran it, but I can’t recall what happenes when I clicked “deny”. I know, I know! I shouldn’t suds and surf. That’s why tonight I have vodka! 😀

The apartment is getting cleaner day by day. I’m feeling very proud of myself. 🙂 I’m still tweaking my laundry routine. I’ve decided that jeans, and most sweatshirts and towels, will have to be machine washed. This is mostly because Ben is whining about scratchy pants and towels. He also had a few things to say about his hand laundered underwear, until I pointed out that I manage to wear mine just fine and my “bits” are a tad more sensitive.

Just received an email from one of the companies I previously applied to. They are looking for seasonal help and requested I reapply. Since my application is supposed to be good for 90 days, and I applied during the first week of August, I’m usure as to whether I should or not. *shrugs*

I’ve created another Sim. This one I will admit doesn’t really look all that much like who he’s supposed to be, but I figure the red pirate costume makes up for it.

I highly recommend Dr. Jeffrey Thompson’s assorted works for listening to while meditating. Some of the Hemi-Sync stuff is good, too. They both put me in the right frame of mind. And if they provide additional benifits, then so be it. 🙂
