Stupid forum members and their stupid need to have stupid enormous signatures (I’d be terrified to see some of them at 800X600!).

Since yesterday afternoon my soon to be ten year old has been running around the place chanting “gay wonder monkey” over and over again, after reading one of these signatures from across the room.

RCN will be changing their DVR software over the next few days. As a result I have the privilage of losing all of the programs I’ve reccorded. Yay me! I’ve been trying to eek in a few minutes here and there to watch them before they are lost. Last night I finally got around to the Teen Titans movie. I don’t know which was funnier: Raven constantly thwapping Beast Boy, or Otaku!Beast Boy karaoke-ing the English translation of the Japanese Teen Titans Theme. gigglesnort*

Now I must find the DVD of Chicken Run that has mysteriously disappeared from my top shelf. I’ve had it for six months, now. I think Netflix might want it back.

I never thought I’d ever see the concept of one’s head up one’s own ass depicted in a political commerical. Thank you Christy Mihos!

If anyone on my flist happens to be looking for some good music to dance to during ritual, I highly recommend Bobby McFerrin’s Circlesongs. Suppodely they’re based on tribal chants where one person would start with one sound or phrase (usually the medicine man or chief) and then the rest of the community would join in with their own. The songs make you want to move, but are repetative enough to allow you to slip into a passive state of mind. I even found myself adding my own chants to some of the songs. The only downside I found was that I wish the songs were longer, or least that there wasn’t as long a pause between tracks. It’s kind of distracting once you’ve gotten into a groove.

On a related note: davensjournal, have I been culled from the AP/OOBE class yet? I really do want to participate, but real life has been such a bitch lately that I haven’t been able to focus much on anything that requires real thinking. If I’m already too far behind I can always do the class another time. :)

My writing blog is up (actually I discovered I had created an LJ account under my penname like a year ago, I just never did anything with it). After much playing I finally figured out that I need to use the rich text setting to copy and paste my stories into LJ and keep the formatting intact. The only gripe I have is that while the text size defaults to the blog settings, the font, itself, does not. :P

Because of all the fun stuff I had to do it took me forever to get the first fic transferred over, but it’s finally there. It’s my Gundam Wing adaptation of Rapunzel. It may have received only one stinking vote in the fanfic contest I entered it in, but I still think it’s my best work. Not to mention the fact that I think it’s funny as hell.

Spent a good two hours trying to figure out the header on my store. I replaced the template’s header image with one of my own creation and was able to get it to completely display. Yay! But then I had to figure out how to get rid of the text that appeared in the spots where the logo and store name would’ve been if I hadn’t converted the header image into a banner. That’s where I spent most of the two hours, and most of that was spent trying to figure out which file had the code I needed to delete! The site, she’s beginning to look pretty. I think I can start moving my inventory over, now. Then I’ll play with it to make sure I tweaked everything I neded to tweak in the stylesheet. There is SO much code in the freaking thing it’s nearly impossible to keep track of what affects what. And look! There’s now a new version of ZenCart! *headdesk*
