I watched the first of the two X-Men: Evo DVDs that arrived today. I finally found the sleeve to the fifth disc in PRDT. Now I can have three discs of Evolution at a time, not that much of the series is out yet.

Played Donkey Konga 2 with Ben. GameFly has improved their service, making the wait for new games a bit shorter and making Ben a happy camper. Jarret is sulking because he is grounded today and is forced to watch us play. That’s not to say wonder brat hasn’t tried catching me off guard. Does he take after me or what? )

I signed the Light Brigade’s website up for a couple of webrings. I found only one specific drum corps ring, and one other alumni ring for corps, bands and the like. I also apparently deleted the default username and password to the members section while trying to create the first personalized username. I have no idea how as there’s no information about the old username anywhere for me to have deleted. Oh well, it’s back (I hope).

I know the only way I’m going to dominate my market is if I start acting more responsibly and get my butt in gear (so says the Emperor), but its so fucking hot and humid! *melts* I feel like I have to wash my hands every five minutes to keep my pieces clean while I work on them.

Oh, and yeah, I had a meeting with the new Director of the Arlington Public Schools Special Education Department. I’ll tell you more when I have time to gather my thoughts.

Netflix has this nifty little feature where you can share your rental queue and recs with friends. Since my flist has been a goldmine for such recs (as well at those for torrents), I’ve sorta ignored it, but as I’m noticing more and more friends belong to Netflix I’m thinking of giving it a shot. It could be fun.

Well it has.

Yesterday I was out watering my plants (which have all had massive growth spurts due to the extremely warm fucking hot weather). The pumpkin has grown about three feet since I staked it two weeks ago. I had initially planned to cut back the growth that had exceeded the pole, but alas I cannot now, as this is what I found:

The first 5 feet of vine is covered with male flowers. The two feet I was going to remove? All females. Fertilzed females, with fruit beginning to form. I have absolutley no idea how we’re going to support the top half of the vine once the pumpkins get bigger (and I was so hoping for carvable size pumpkins!). Running the vine along the tops of the tomato supports may be an option. We’ll see if it works.

I swear I wasn’t meant to see this series!

Being a big fan of Tommy Oliver (he’s the first official bish of the Bishi Harem) I was quite happy to learn JDF had returned to play him in Power Rangers Dino Thunder. Every weekend I’d set up my VCR to tape that week’s episode and then my boys and I would watch it together.

Alas, somewhere around episode 4 or 5 my VCR died. And with my valuing my night time (with the boys in bed it’s the only time I can really get anything done), it goes without saying that I don’t do mornings all that well, so I missed pretty much the rest of the series.

When the series was released on DVD I figured I could finally see what I had missed. Wrong! I have seen all five discs. First they omitted enough episodes to make me say “WTF?” practically every 20 minutes. Apparently it was assumed those who were watching the DVD had already seen the series as it aired. The ultimate WTF? moment was when I realized the final disc in the series doesn’t have the season finale, which I missed because of a parade in Plymouth. Arrrgh!

Got the last of my dreadlock items uploaded to the site and Froogled. All I have left is two macrame pieces to create ads for and then I’m going to be busy crafting again. I’m trying to decide whethr or not to finish an intricate choker I began awhile back or start a new project. I know I have to pull apart another choker I was working on that didn’t come out anywhere near what I envisioned. *pouts*

Still tossing around ideas for a logo/brand with the Harem. Harry suggested I spell out the company’s name in runes, “writing” them on fruitcake slices. Scary thought? I’m actually considering doing it.

Sales have died down for me in the past around this time of year, so I’ll probably spend the rest of my Summer making stuff and honing my marketing skills. Come Fall it should begin to pick up again.
