After several attempts from my family trying to awaken me goddamn early, I finally crawled out of bed around 10am. I managed to make it into the kitchen without either of the cats tripping me, and after drop kicking Ribbon into the livingroom for attempting to use my bare leg as a scratch post, I plopped two bowls putrid-looking meat onto the floor.
Glenn was out getting the paper (transaltion: he’s out, hanging with his friends for the next couple of hours), so I did the dishes, argued with the boys and visualized my bed being made, since at some point (while I was still sleeping) Glenn dumped two bags of clean laundry on the bed. When He finally returned, I grabbed my pitchfork and made my way to our composter out back.
I spent a good two hours ripping up the roots that somehow find their way into the compost each year. Periodically I’d shovel some compost into one of the two buckets Glenn had brought out, so he could relocate it into one of the four blue bins that look remarkably like town recycle bins *whistles innocently* where I later transplanted three marigold seedlings, three lettuce plants, and sowed a bunch of radish seeds.
As I was finishing up with the radishes, one of our neighbors pulled into the lot and we spent a good half an hour discussing barbeques, yard sales, and the fact that the furniture of a neighbor who had passed two years ago was still taking up space in one of the buidling’s attics and how it was high time the super got rid of it so that those who DO still live here can move their things up there. I had to excuse myself at that point as I was noticing I was turning a bit “pinkish”. *snort*
I spent the next two hours attempting to excersize. The routine, itself, only requires about 40 minutes of my time (stretching, warm-up, and cool-down included), but since everyone (including my next door neighbor) required my attention RIGHT NOW, it was a miracle I even got around to working out. Toward the end Glenn decided we needed a new thermometor so he could see if our ham was done. It took him nearly an hour to drive up the street, learn that $10 was more than he wanted to pay for a thermometor, and buy rolls instead.
After dinner and a (very) short nap, I made up a list of everything the landlord needs to fix now that we have paid our past due rent. We still owe for this month, but as long as it’s paid THIS MONTH he can’t really say jack, though I dare him to.
I just finished updating the Light Brigade’s website. I still need to udpate the links page, but the important stuff is there. I’ve been debating on what to do with my personal site. My business has been keeping me so busy that I haven’t had time to work on my baby, and it’s showing signs of neglect. *pouts* I’ll have to ponder more tomorrow as it’s now my bedtime.
