It’s Today!
Mar 27th, 2004 by Babs

I woke up this morning with a major case of heartburn due to the combo of bobbing for G-Boys *snicker*, one too many Mudslides (I passed out somewhere around 11:20pm EST. TJ’s right, I’m such a lightweight!) and a couple of L’il Scoops that I finally found at my local Buck a Book, but after popping a couple of Tums I was good to go.

Since I was up I watched PRDT, which is a good thing, since I can’t find a blank tape to save my life. *squees over Tommy, er, Dr. Oliver* I think I know who’s going to be the White Ranger, not like it’s that hard to figure out.

Got to see one of my favorite Teen Titan eps this morning. Mad Mod still creeps me out (long story), but the episode as a whole was wild. Beast Boy was in prime form. *laughs*

Business is going fairly well. I’d like to take the day off, but I have more bookkeeping to do. Taxes, dontcha know? I also have to deal with a pain in the arse customer who’s having a cow because the PO has decided to play with one of the two tubes o’ tinwhistles I sent him (which is why this is my first friends only post). He’s upset because he thinks I could’ve packed them all in one tube. Yeah, and then when they arrived he would’ve been complaining about them being scratched and dented due to the lack of protective packing. He even had the nerve to ask if I was sure I mailed the second tube. That is what the delivery confirmation labels are for. The post office scans them and the number goes on the receipt. It’s called tracking. The damn tube was probably mixed in with the Parcel Post, which means he should get it mid next week, well within the eBay/PayPal time frame.

*takes deep breath to relax*

If you happen to be looking at this page as an iframe in my site’s What’s News page, then you can see the calendar type thingy below. Yard sale season has officially begun in my neck of the woods, and since the calendar isn’t getting much use right now I thought it’d make a great announcement board for yard sales. Yes, it’s a kooky idea, but it might just work. And it’s free. If it gets enough attention I’ll make a separate calendar just for yard sales! Yay!

Introducing…..
Mar 25th, 2004 by Babs

The Bishi Harem Fruitcake Co. is as “up and running” on eBay as it’s going to get, until eBay decides to give store owners the perks they’ve been boasting about. I’m currently waiting for the domain handler to redirect http://bhfruitcakeco.babspace.com. Once that’s done everyone who clicks the Bishi Harem link on my site’s core page will be taken to my eBay storefront instead of the page it had previously been linked to.

Eventually, I plan on “bishifying” the storefront with a commissioned graphic (that’s the cue for you artistic folk to run and hide *grin*). When the perks pop up I’ll have a better idea of what size the graphic can be. Also when the perks are available I hope to re-create the Bishi Bio, and maybe even create that Wiccan business webring I’ve been thinking about. But those depend on how anal eBay is currently being about javascript.

All that’s really left to do for now is to get more items up for sale. I uploaded two of my macrame pieces yesterday, split and relisted my silver Meg tinwhistles earlier today. Now that my shipment of black Megs has arrived I can get those taken care of, too.

It’s times like this that I’m excited to be a business owner!

How do you piss off a RxH Harry Potter fan?
Mar 24th, 2004 by Babs

Okay, yesterday a friend of mine (who shall remain nameless, unless they wish me to include their name here) posted a link to an LJ post by a Harry Potter Ron X Hermoine fanatic, who freaked when someone introduced the possiblity of Harry X Hermoine. S/he insisted that there the only possible canon pairing, and that was Ron X Hermoine, and that all others were wrong.

Needless to say, s/he was pissing off alot of people.

So I jumped in and basically agreed that Harry X Hermoine as a canon pairing was inconceivable…

Then I added that any proper HP fan already knew that Harry and Snape have been doing the horizontal bop since book one.

Needless to say the ranter deleted their post, along with all the responses.

My work there is done. *evil smirk*

4. Trowa (GW) – Mmmm.. Limber. I wonder how many postitions of the Kama Sutra he can manage?
5. Heero (GW) – If only because I like a matching set.
6. Kenshin (RK) – Again, the long hair. Then there’s the sword…
7. Sanosuke (RK) – Misanagi promised to pass him and Kenshin over to me when she was done so I can have me a Babs sandwich.
8. Ginji (GB) – He’s such a sweetie, especially in tare form.
9. Ban (GB) – He can be a jerk, but oh those eyes!
10. Milliardo (GW) – Loooong blond hair. Drool…..
11. James (Pokemon) – My favorite blue-haried bish.
12. Yami Yugi (YGO) – Gotta love a man who lives on the edge.
13. Yusuke (YYH) – He’s smooth and kind of reminds me of my first love, the original Speed Racer.
14. Kurama (YYH) – Are you noticing a parttern?
15. Hiei (YYH) – Demon worship time!
16. Nightcrawler (X-Men: Evo) – Because chicks love the blue fuzzy dude!

10 6 Anime guys I wouldn’t touch:

1. Akabane (GB) – He scares the shit out of me.
2. Kuwabara (YYH) – Something about him creeps me out.
3. Quinze (GW) – You could dip him in chocolate and cover him in sprinkles and I’ll still lose my appetite.
4. Yahiko (RK) – Because he’s “little” dontcha know.
5. Brock (Pokemon) – One of these days I’d like to see him so shocked that his eyes actually open.
6. Lord Shishio (RK) – I’m afraid to see what’s under all those bandages.

10 Fictional (not anime) characters I would do (naughty things to in bed):

1. Tommy Oliver (MMPR, et al) – While the short haired, goateed Dr. Oliver still does it for me, if I had to choose, I’d opt for the long haired Tommy any day.
2. Harry Potter (HP: the movie) – Oh “Ew!” yourself!
3. Captain Jack Sparrow (Pirates of the Caribbeen)- The character is absolutely perfect and I’ve had a crush on the actor since 21 Jump Street.
4. Severus Snape (HP: the movie)- Decadantly evil.
5. Data (Star Trek: Next Generation)- There is just something about him that I’ve always found facinating
6. Walter “Gib” Gibson (The Sure Thing) – Hell I would’ve gladly been his sure thing.
7. Frederick (Pirates of Penzance: the Broadway musical/movie) – Take heart, take mine!
8. The Pirate King (see above) – My those pants are a bit tight. Care to take them off?
9. Noel Crane (Felicity) – He has that knight in shining armor thing going.
10. Ferris Bueller – He was so cool!

10 Fictional (not anime) characters I would NOT do.

1. Wayne Cambell -(Wayne’s World) Just a bit too flakey for me.
2. Austin Powers – He may be aninternation man of mystery, and funny as hell, but he creeps me out physically.
3. Dewey Finn (School of Rock) Ew! Just ew!

Mail call!
Mar 19th, 2004 by Babs

For the last few days every time I went to check my email, Mozilla has given me one error message after another regarding incorrect passwords and non-existent accounts. I assumed it was Mozilla, but I contacted RCN just in case they might actually know something about the browser/mail handler and be able to help me straighten things out. It turns out it was RCN that was at fault. I wasn’t too concerned though, as I was still getting my mail.

Or so I thought.

This morning I checked my email, just like I do every morning (and several times throughout the day), and found 104 messages awaiting download. They dated back to the 17th which is when the problem began. The odd thing is that not one of them was a duplicate of a message that I had already received.

Very odd.
